Ceramic fiber

Ceramic fibers SACF-IV were prepared by high temperature melting from the fine bauxite , which have good stability as reinforcing materials, well-proportioned dispersion and low agglomeration . Especially, with addition of a coupling agent, the toughness of the ceramic fiber increased, but the mechanical strength remained unchanged. So, the friction materials filled with SACF-IV exhibited stable wear resistance.

2. Performance of SACF- Ⅳ

(a) Ceramic fibers SACF- Ⅳ are feasible to all kinds of high-performance brake materials due to good thermal stability and low thermal conductivity, which meet the needs of high speed, safe and high wear resistant brake materials.

(b) The brake materials filled with SACF- Ⅳ against counterface show a low frictional noise and high wear resistance due to low agglomeration and high reinforcing effect .

(c) SACF- Ⅳ has no pollution and bio de grad ability , which a high-quality reinforcing material to no asbestos friction materials.
